Gaskets

A gasket is a flat piece of material (like rubber, metal, or foam) placed between two surfaces to create a seal. Its main job is to prevent leaks of liquids or gases by filling the space between those surfaces. For example, in engines or pipes, gaskets help keep oil, water, or gas from escaping. They're used in many machines to ensure parts fit tightly together and work safely without leaks.

Shims

A shim is a thin, flat piece of material (like metal or plastic) used to fill small gaps or spaces between objects. Shims are often used to adjust the level, alignment, or fit of parts in machinery or structures. For example, if two parts don't quite fit together properly, a shim can be inserted to make them fit snugly or to ensure they are even. It's a simple way to fine-tune or correct small differences without having to remake parts.

Seals

Custom-made seals for oilfield and automotive applications are specially designed components used to prevent leaks of fluids (like oil, gas, or water) in harsh environments. These seals are tailored to fit specific equipment, ensuring a precise fit to handle high pressure, extreme temperatures, and corrosive materials commonly found in oilfield machinery and automotive engines.

Foam Products

Foam products in home construction and design are used for insulation, soundproofing, cushioning, and decoration. They help keep homes energy-efficient by reducing heat loss, provide sound absorption, and add comfort in furniture. Foam is also used in lightweight building materials and decorative elements like trim or molding, offering a cost-effective and customizable option for various home needs.

Sponge Rubber Extrusions

Sponge rubber extrusions are flexible, lightweight strips of rubber with a soft, sponge-like texture that are made by forcing rubber through a shaped mold or die. The result is a continuous, custom-shaped piece of rubber with tiny air pockets inside, giving it a compressible, cushioned feel.

Teflon Envelope/PTFE

A Teflon envelope is a protective covering made from Teflon (PTFE, polytetrafluoroethylene) material that surrounds or encases another material, typically in sealing applications. For example, a Teflon envelope gasket has an inner core made of a softer, more flexible material like rubber, while the outer layer (or "envelope") is made of Teflon. This design allows the gasket to maintain a tight, reliable seal, even in harsh chemical environments, without being damaged or degraded.

Tube Cap/Folded Woven Materials

Tube caps and folded woven materials are used for protection and insulation in industrial settings. Tube caps, made from materials like plastic, rubber, or metal, cover the ends of tubes or pipes to prevent contamination or damage. Folded woven materials are fabrics, often made from synthetic fibers, that are interwoven and folded to provide durable protection, insulation, or wrapping for equipment, helping shield against heat, moisture, or abrasion. Both are essential for safeguarding components in harsh environments.

Neoprene Rubbers, Nitrile, EPDM

Neoprene, nitrile, and EPDM are all types of synthetic rubbers, each with unique properties suited for different applications:

  • Neoprene is known for its versatility, offering good resistance to weather, oil, and heat. It’s commonly used in gaskets, seals, and wetsuits due to its durability and flexibility.

  • Nitrile (NBR) excels in resisting oils, fuels, and chemicals, making it ideal for automotive and industrial applications like fuel hoses.

  • EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) is highly resistant to weathering, UV rays, and extreme temperatures, making it great for outdoor applications, like roofing, seals, and automotive weatherstripping.
